Refund & Cancellation Policy

At RideAway, we strive to provide a seamless and transparent bike rental experience. To ensure fairness to both our riders and hosts, we have established the following refund and cancellation guidelines.
1. Booking Types & Eligibility
A. Hourly Bookings
- Policy: Non-Cancellable & Non-Refundable.
- Once an hourly booking is confirmed, no refund will be initiated upon cancellation. This ensures that the vehicle remains available for the scheduled slot as promised.
B. Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Bookings
These bookings are eligible for refunds based on the timeline of cancellation relative to the scheduled start time.
2. Refund Structure (Day/Week/Month)
The refund amount is calculated automatically by the system based on when the cancellation request is placed:

3. Direct Source Refunds
All eligible refunds are processed directly back to your original payment method (Bank Account, UPI, or Credit/Debit Card) via our payment partner, Razorpay.
- Processing Time: Refunds typically reflect in your account within 5-7 business days, depending on your bank's processing time.
- No virtual wallets or credits are used; we believe in returning your money where it belongs.
4. KYC Rejection & Verification Issues
If a booking is cancelled by RideAway because the rider's documents (Driving License/Aadhaar) fail verification or do not meet our safety standards:
- Refund: A 100% Refund will be initiated to the original source.
- We recommend ensuring your DigiLocker sync is active for instant and hassle-free verification.
5. Instant Inventory Release
As soon as you cancel a booking, the vehicle is instantly listed as "Available" on the RideAway Platform. This automated process helps our hosts maintain high occupancy and ensures other riders can find a bike when they need it most.
6. How to Cancel
- Open the RideAway App.
- Go to My Bookings.
- Select the active booking you wish to cancel.
- Tap on Cancel Booking.
- Review the calculated refund quote and confirm.
